Kelvin Burt

Walter Kelvin Burt, age 57, went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2023. He went peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Natchez, MS on May 21, 1966 where he resided until he and his family moved to Brandon, MS in 1987, where he spent the remainder of his life. 

Kelvin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He made a great impact on anyone and everyone who crossed his path, whether it was at work or friends. It never failed after a long night before parting ways he always assured you he was grateful for your friendship. He truly loved the Lord, his family, and friends. 

Kelvin along with his father started up Burt’s Masterbend Mufflers and Pipes back in 1987, from there on the legacy began. Along the way many strangers went from just that, acquaintances to friends for life.  This year makes 36 years of being in business. His son, Walter Ryan Burt will carry on the family business. 

Kelvin’s favorite place on earth to be was Bee Lake. It was a place he could go for a weekend of fishing, hunting, or just relaxing with good friends. Every year he looked forward to the Super Hunt, which was near and dear to his heart. It was his little piece of Heaven on earth.  When he wasn’t at the lake you could always find him on his back porch with the grill rolling with an ice cold drink in his hand. 

Kelvin was proceeded in death by his father Walter Lee Burt. He was survived by loving wife Missi Burt; mother, Dianne Barker; children, Walter Ryan Burt, Kaylee Burt, Nicholas Meek, Skyla Perry (Michael), Colton Meek, Cullen Calhoun, and Mary Beth Calhoun; sister, Tracy Morrow (Sammy); grandchildren, Walter Mason Burt, Lawson Perry, and Owen Perry; nieces, Kayla Morrow and Macie Morrow. 

Kelvin’s pallbearers are Walter Ryan Burt, Jonathan Miley, Corey Warren, Tyler McCrory, Sammy Morrow, and Woody Blanton. His honorary pallbearers consist of all of his beloved friends.
