Justin Daniel Harmon, age 36 of Lake Mississippi passed from this life on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Justin was born January 5, 1987, in Flowood Mississippi to the parents of Randy and Janet Harmon of Lake. He was a lifelong resident of Lake. Justin leaves behind his loving wife of four years Stefanie Jenkins Harmon of Lake. Justin followed in his father’s footsteps as a truck driver and one who loved his profession. At the time of his passing, he was employed for Jack Batte and Sons in Forest.
Justin was raised all of his life with his parents bringing him to church. He ultimately dedicated himself to God and to his church and was an active and vibrant member of the First Pentecostal Church of Forest at the time of his passing. Justin loved the church. He loved God. He loved straightforward and “tell it like it is” preaching. Justin had no appreciation for preaching that didn’t tell it like it really was. God and church had become Justin’s whole life. At the time of his passing, he was very dedicated to his faith. Justin will be remembered as a loyal and faithful lover of not only his Pastor and church but a lover of truth and of all ministers who preached the truth. He will be greatly missed by his church family.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Lorene Harmon, and Jesse and Thelma Hollingsworth all of Lake.
He is survived by his loving parents Randy and Janet Hollingsworth Harmon of Lake. Justin also leaves behind a brother Jeremy Brian Harmon of Jackson. One sister Jennifer Shepherd of Decatur, Ms. Two sons Justin Bryce, and Jax Hayden of Flora, Ms. Three stepchildren, Jace Michaeal Jenkins, Lexi Jenkins, and Jimmy Lane Jenkins. Father and mother-in-law; Steve and Sherri Phillips of Collinsville, Mississippi. Justin also leaves a legacy of many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends whom he greatly loved and that will forever cherish his memory.
Both the viewing and funeral services for Justin will be held at the Forest Pentecostal Church 880 Highway 35 North, Forest Ms. 39074, and officiated by Pastor Bill Pitman of Forest Pentecostal Church. The viewing will be held on Monday, May 8th from 5pm-8pm. The funeral service on Tuesday, May 9th at 2pm with a visitation from 1:00-2:00. A graveside service will be conducted at Good Hope Cemetery in Lake Ms. All services are directed by Ott and Lee of Forest.
Pallbearers include Lance Hall, Chance Hall, Benjamin Hines, Brayden Hines, Ryan Pitman, and Dallas Bates. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cory Coleman, Aaron Hines, and Brandon Harmon.
