June Nix Payne, 77, of Brandon Mississippi passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24th, 2026, after a brief battle with glioblastoma. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends as she drew her last breaths.
She was born on July 23rd, 1948, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. June’s life was dedicated to serving others. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, loyal friend, and a fierce follower of Christ. She was known for being kind-hearted and genuine, yet always willing and ready to fight a grizzly with a short stick defending her family or loved ones! Through her lens, she saw beauty in the ordinary.

Her family would like to mention their gratitude to her special caretaker, Bobbie Jasper and Accent Home Health and Hospice.
She is preceded in death by her parents, B.F. Nix and Lorene Olivia Richardson Nix; her son Michael Glenn Miller; her brother, Richard Nix, and sister-in-law Faye Nix.
