Julie Ann Killebrew, age 58, died on December 15, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi, after a long illness. Julie will be remembered for her steady compassion, her devotion to family, and the sincere care she gave to others throughout her life.
Born on October 9, 1967, in Kentucky, Julie was an honor graduate of St. Amant High School in St. Amant, Louisiana (May 1985). She later completed the Hinds Community College Nursing Program, graduating in May 1999, and went on to serve as a Registered Nurse. Julie’s nursing career reflected her strengths and values, with a specialty in dialysis treatment, including patient care, administrative coordination, and training.
On August 19, 2000, Julie married Walter David Howell Killebrew in Jackson, Mississippi. Together, they made their home in Flowood, Mississippi. Julie was the proud mother of one daughter, Jordan Renae Lyons of Brandon, Mississippi.
Julie was affectionately known as “Juggles” or “Flower” to her family. She enjoyed traveling, hosting family get togethers, and playing with her beloved dog Lylah. Above all, she was known for caring for others and for the warmth she brought to everyday moments.
Julie is survived by her husband, Walter David Howell Killebrew; her daughter, Jordan Renae Lyons; her parents, Judy Fontaine Fox Russelburg and Delphin Russelburg; her sister, Angela Tanner; her many lifelong friends; and a large extended family in Louisiana and Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lolita McDaniel.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date, and memorial details will be announced by the family.
