Julia Ann Bray, 71, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her home in Pearl, Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Julia was born on August 25, 1954, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Curtis Troy Jones and Julia Elizabeth Kennedy Jones. Due to her father’s military service, her family lived in several places around the world during her childhood, eventually settling in Jackson, Mississippi, where she attended Jim Hill and Wingfield High Schools.
She was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl, where she was baptized on September 14, 2014. She loved music and dancing and sitting out back and looking at her flowers and watching her birds. Above all, she adored her family, worrying over them constantly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis Wayne “Lil Wayne” Bray, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Ella “Kasha” Bray.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Anthony Bray (Staci); grandchildren, Shelby Hodge (Judd), Amber Bray, Gavin Bray, Maggie Bray, and Addyson Bray; great grandchildren, Ezra and Max Hodge; sisters, Carol Jones Gray, Vickey Roberson (Mike), and Lynn Upton (Kenny); dear friend, Melissa Hall Lowery; and canine companion, Conner.
