J.R. Mcmillan

Mr. McMillan, age 85,  passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Rush Medical Center. Visitation will be held 5-8pm Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, November 6, 2020 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton.  Burial will take place at Cross Roads Baptist Cemetery.  Bro. John Vaughn will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

He was born on September 21, 1935 in Rankin County.  He loved to listen to his radio and enjoyed singing along.  J.R. loved going to church.  He enjoyed being outdoors walking around and raising his cattle.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis Jefferson McMillan and Minnie Lois Purvis McMillan; siblings, Ethel Louise White, George Bennie McMillan, Linnie Morgan, Howard H. McMillan and G.W. McMillan.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Sumrall of Pelahatchie; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Jeff McMillan, Brian Adcox, Rodger Morgan, Gary Varner, Ronnie Thompson, Cody Huff and Steve Morgan.
