After a long illness, Tommy Joe passed away at home surrounded by family at the age of 59.

Tommy was a true tradesman. He worked as a welder, carpenter and diesel mechanic for most of his life. His true passion was classic vehicles. He loved all of them, from the 1965 Mustang he used to drive down the backroads during his youth, his brief time with a beautiful gold 70’s model Pontiac Trans Am with T-tops to the 1990’s Nissan hardbody truck he had at home under the carport. There were only two things Tommy loved more than classic cars and an old fixer upper, his family and Jesus! He was a great father, step-father, grandfather, son and brother.

Tommy stepped up a few years ago and moved in with his mother in Pearl to care for her after her dementia diagnosis and OH how she was loved on by him, his fiancé and daughter.

Tommy was a member of the Army in his younger years (he followed in the footsteps of his daddy) and loved to tell stories from his time in the service. Tommy prided himself on teaching his children, grandchildren and nephew about fixing cars and building just about anything out of wood as his dad taught him so many years ago.

Tommy was the widow of a beautiful woman, Lisa, but had found love again with a beautiful kind soul, April, who held him in her arms as he left this world. Tommy woke up in the arms of Jesus and saw his mother again who was made whole in mind and body only a few hours before him.
