Joseph Rhodes Thweatt

Joseph Rhodes Thweatt, 78, passed away on Mon. Aug. 4, 2025, in Vidalia, LA. Visitation will be held on Fri. Aug. 15, 2025, from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Mr. Thweatt was born in Memphis, TN on Aug. 3, 1947, to the late Jack Stephens Thweatt and Mary Susan Rhodes Thweatt.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Cahill Thweatt; three children, Jennifer Thweatt Maxwell (Gregg), Allison Thweatt, John Thweatt (Elizabeth) and three granddaughters, Victoria Maxwell, Olivia Thweatt and Ava Kate Thweatt. Mr. Thweatt is also preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Claire Thweatt.
