Joseph Michael McCormack Sr., 90, passed away on Tues. March 7, 2023 in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. March 10, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. There will be a 7pm rosary service following the visitation on Fri. March 10, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. A funeral mass will be held at 2pm on Sat. March 11, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, MS with a visitation from 1pm-2pm prior to the funeral mass at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, MS. Graveside services will follow the funeral mass at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mr. McCormack was born on July 18, 1932 in Vicksburg, MS to the late DeFrance McCormack and Alma Griffin McCormack. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, MS. Mr. McCormack served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War serving on the USS Essex and the USS Boxer. Mr. McCormack was a wonderful and loving father and friend who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey McCormack (Rhonda); daughter, Judy Stagner (Robert); 3 grandchildren, Anthony McCormack (Laura), Michael McCormack and Joseph Jenkins (Melissa); 4 great grandchildren, Travis Carlton, John Jenkins, Hayden Jenkins and Callie Jenkins; 2 sisters, Rose Mary Harkins, Kay Foshee and a brother, Bill McCormack (DeDe). Mr. McCormack is also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth Schmidt McCormack; daughter, Jeanna McCormack Jimenez; 2 sons, Joseph Michael McCormack Jr. and Jack Anthony McCormack; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
