John Clingen, III, born on July 3, 1947, in Wauwatosa, WI, passed away on April 29, 2025, in Brandon, MS. He was a dedicated furniture representative for 56 years and proudly served in the Air National Guard's 172nd Division shortly after high school.
John was a beloved member of his community, being a parishioner at both St. Luke's Episcopal Church and St. Columb's Episcopal Church. John was an acolyte at St. Columb’s when he was a youth. He was a chalice bearer at St. Luke’s. He also served on the vestry and stewardship committee at St. Luke’s. He cherished his wife of 56 years, his daughters and his three grandchildren.
He was happiest on the water, fishing for that prize catch. He had a passion for motorcycles and car racing, that he passed on to his grandsons. He also enjoyed playing golf. He will be remembered for his kindness and the love he had for his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Brenda Clingen, his daughter Christy Clingen Thompson, and daughter, Ginnie Clingen Craig and her husband Paul; and grandchildren, Zach Miller and his wife Taylor, Jon Nolan Clingen, and Victoria Smith and her husband Robert.
