John B. Anderson, 84, a resident of Forest, died Wednesday November 30, 2011 at Lackey Memorial Hospital.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5pm-8pm Friday December 2, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday December 3, 2011 from the Ott & Lee Chapel.
Mr. Anderson retired from the Illinois Central Railroad in 1986, after working 40 years as agent for the Company. He has been a member of Forest Baptist Church for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Hancel Anderson, two daughters, Susan Anderson Webb and Penny Anderson Hendry, and one step-son John C. Hester, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Hughlene Meadows Anderson, one son, Bill Joseph Anderson, one brother, James Larry Anderson and four grandchildren, Austin Lee, Ashlee Lee, Andrea Anderson and Adam Anderson.
Memorials may be made to Medical Missions at Forest Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
