Joel Dee Birdsong

Joel Dee Birdsong, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 80.

Mr. Birdsong was born on November 3, 1944, in Alabama to Oscar Birdsong and Sybill Smith Birdsong. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Massey-Ferguson in Indianola for many years. He married Reatta Yates on June 7, 1981, and together they shared 44 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Reatta Birdsong; children, Danny Birdsong, Tracy Birdsong, Dee Dee Birdsong, Frank Valencino, Jimmy Valencino, and Michael Valencino; brother, Anthony Birdsong; sister-in-law, Sarah Lowery; and one sister.
