Joe Cleve Lancaster was born to Chester Clyde "C.C." and Betty Lou Lewis Lancaster on September 18, 1950 at Dr. Simmons' Office in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He passed away at age 74 on May 10th, 2025 at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Visitation will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Pineville, Mississippi on Tuesday, May 13th from 12-3pm. Funeral Services will commence at 3pm and conclude in the church. No graveside services are planned at this time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. and Betty Lancaster; brothers Grover Chester Lancaster and Benjamin Clyde Lancaster; sister Margaret Lou Lancaster; and niece Betty Leanne Stephens.
He is survived by his sister and devoted caretaker, Margie Ann Lancaster of Pineville; nephew Andrew (Katlin) Stephens of Stringer; two great nieces and two great nephews; and sister-in-law Carmyn Lancaster.
He always had a giving spirit in spite of many limitations. Joe would have given his last penny to help someone in need. Joe faced many physical and mental challenges growing up, but never let them defeat him. He fought a good fight, kept his faith and now reigns with his Lord and family in Heaven.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Scotty Harris, Chris Sistrunk, Shelton Lewis, Corey Lewis, Johnny Stephens, Chris Stephens, Greg Warren, Collin Warren, and Dawson Warren.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
