Joan Rae Duncan Whitehead

Joan Rae Whitehead, 80, of Pearl passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Ms. Whitehead was born December 31, 1942, in Troy, Ohio to Robert and Helen Duncan.

Joan was a loving mother and grandmother, always doting on her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and poetry.

Ms. Whitehead was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Duncan, and two brothers, Gene and Bill Duncan.

She leaves behind three children: Lissa Whitehead Roberson (Martin), Kim Henson (Tony), Mike Whitehead (Julia); one brother: Paul Duncan; and eight grandchildren: Corey Henson, Joshua Barnett, Kai Henson, Justin Roberson, Katelyn Roberson, Walker Whitehead, Adelyn Rae Whitehead, and Olivia Ann Whitehead.

A public visitation will be held for Joan at Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Brandon on Wednesday, December 6 from 10-11:30AM, followed by a graveside service at Crestview Memorial Gardens at 12:00.
