Jo Black

Mrs. Jo Curry Black, 83, passed away on Wed. July 13, 2022 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held on Sat. July 16, 2022 from 1pm-2:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Memorial Services are 3pm on Sat. July 16, 2022 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Black was born on Oct. 28, 1938 in Weir, MS to the late Thomas Hayes Curry and Maude Sue Suber Curry George.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Slay (Derwin); son, Mark Black (Crystle); seven grandchildren, Erin Purvis (Ramsey), Curry Parkman (Steven), Emily Davis (Christian), Tiffany Sanders (Stephen), Darren Eidson (Samantha), Anthony Martin (Jamie) and Annetta Martin (Anthony); four great grandchildren, Gareth Purvis, Emmitt Purvis, Elliott Purvis and Hayes Parkman; brother, Willard George (Cheryle) and a cousin, Lynn Richards. Mrs. Black is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carr Black.
