Jimmy Dale Coward, age 60, a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital.  Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Saturday, October 1, 2022 and 12pm-2pm Sunday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services will be held 2pm Sunday, October 2, 2022 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Macedonia New Testament Church Cemetery.  Bro. Bobby Reddin will officiate the services.  Ott & Lee of Morton was in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmy Dale was born in Scott County on August 22, 1962.  He loved being outdoors working with his cows and being on his tractor.   He even loved to collect tractors.  Jimmy was known to be a hard worker and he loved his family very much.  Jimmy was a gun collector and collected coins.   He will be very missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father Nuite Coward; brother, Roy Coward.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Coward of Morton; mother, Annie Lois Coward of Morton; 2 children, Glenn Dale Coward of Pelahatchie and Joseph Nuite Coward of Clifton; siblings, Bo Coward (Joanna) of Moss Point, Mike Coward (Jenny) of Pelahatchie, Jerry Coward of Morton, Ruth Ann Ellinburg (Billy) of Morton and Bob Coward of Morton; grandchildren, Gracie Ann Coward and Nuite Gage Coward; nieces, Annie Coward, Jessica Hatch (Justin), Jayme Coley (Thomas) and Anna Clayton; nephews, Darwin “Buck” Coward and Jimmie McMorris; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Josh Shoemaker, Dewayne Shoemaker, Glenn Coward, Joseph Coward, Joshua Holmes, Michael Coward.  Honorary pallbearer will be Bailey Riguaud.
