Mr. Jerald Bierman, age 46, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton.  His visitation will be held 5:00 pm-9:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at New Liberty Baptist Church and Wednesday from 9:00 am-10:45 am at the church.  Services will be held at 11:00 am at New Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Smith and Mack Ginn officiating.  Burial will follow at Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Jerald was born in Morton, MS on June 3, 1975.  From a young age, Jerald enjoyed riding horses and bulls, earning him multiple awards, prizes, stitches, broken teeth and bones.  But that never discouraged him, he saw every chance to climb on top of one as a chance to conquer him.  When he wasn't riding, he was encouraging others and pulling a flank strap, popping a latch, or swinging a gate.  He was rodeo's finest.  Jerald was a tough son of a gun, with a huge heart that loved big.  Six feet five inches of pure gold, rarely met a stranger, and treated every child with love and a little bit of humor.  Team roping was his passion, he lived it and breathed it, and he was great at it.  Jerald was a winner inside and outside the arena.

Jerald's favorite title was Daddy.  From the time Alex was born, he had big plans for her. They shared the same passion for horses and riding and they were always in the practice pen.  He loved his little girl and his world revolved around her.  He was proud of her every accomplishment.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Betty Sue Bierman and brother, Jeff Bierman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Champion Bierman of Morton; daughter, Alex Bierman of Morton; father-in-law & mother-in-law; Bobby & Charlene Champion; aunt and uncle, Virginia & James Davis, uncle, Dwight Dear; brother-in-law, Robbie Champion; cousins and a host of friends and rodeo family.

Pallbearers will be Michael Carter, Bill Dillard, Jeremiah Johnson, Darren Johnson, Joe Lane Kelly, and Tim Lindley.
