Jennie Ruth Patrick

Jennie Ruth Patrick, age 78, and a resident of Morton passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, April 16, 2018 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy McKay and Bro. M.L. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the funeral home and on Monday from 9:00 am - 10:45 am prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Patrick was a longtime resident of the Morton area, moving from Trenton. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary for many years. She was a member of the Scott County Homemakers Club and traveling was a favorite past time.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John Hawkins and Minnie Wade and her step father: Barney Lee Moore.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years: John Wesley Patrick of Morton; one son: Michael (Rita) Patrick of Pearl; two grandchildren: Mandy (Derrick) Brownlee and Michelle (Clayton) Smith; two great-grandchildren: Emily and Mason; one sister: Jewell Hayman of Pulaski.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Derrick, Randall Bricker, Jimmy Latham, Kenneth Latham, Buddy Bricker, and Gary Phillipson.
