Jane Carolyn Parks Moore

Jane Carolyn Parks Moore, 87, of Brandon, Mississippi, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Tues. Aug. 27, 2024, at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bruce Moore; her parents, Omer Dares Parks and Ola Mae Parks; and her sister, Hazel Mae Parks Reeves.

 She is survived by her brother, Omer L. Parks; her daughters, Yvonne Moore Willson (Matt), Tammy Moore Smith (Jerry), and Carol Moore; her grandchildren, Christopher Willson (Olivia), Meagan Anne Willson, Jonathan Smith (Brooke), Jacob Smith (Michelle), and Samantha Jane Smith; and four great-grandchildren.

 During high school, Carolyn played basketball, read most of the books in the library, and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She had a love for vibrant colors, enjoyed shopping, and loved beautiful flowers. Her grandkids will always remember her fondness for yellow cake, though she preferred it without icing.
