James Henry Langdon

Pelahatchie, MS

Mr. James Langdon, age 69, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away at his home on Sunday, March 19, 2023.  Visitation will be held 10am - 12:30pm on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Graveside service will be held at 1pm Thursday at Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery in Pelahatchie.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Langdon was born in Newton County on July 14, 1953.  He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed traveling all over.  James loved to watch Nascar and cheer for Dale Earnhardt.  He was an avid football watcher and MSU was his pick to cheer for.  James loved his wife, Gladis and they enjoyed spoiling each other.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnson Langdon and Nelvis Montez Johnson Langdon; and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gladis Langdon of Pelahatchie; 13 children; sister, Rita Fuller; numerous grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Langdon, Don Renfroe, Matthew Redman, Christopher Holmes, Leonard Tutor and Samuel Puckett.
