James William Sessums

Mr. James William Sessums, age 81, a resident of Lena, MS passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Baptist Leake Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

James was the son of W. O. and Mary Chambers Sessums.

Survivors include his Wife of 60 years, Bobbie Lyn Chennault Sessums, Daughter Leanna Lyn Sessums, Sisters Sarah Landford and Martha Davis, Brother Charles Sessums, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: W.L. Sessums, Walker Sessums, Jack Langford, Will Langford, Joseph Young, John Daniel Young, Conner Davis, Greg McKnight.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bennie Jones, Doug Bates, Phil Seymer, Jody Jones, Dennis Hough.

A sincere thanks to these exceptional men who went above and beyond these last few months: David Langford, Bryan Turner, Owen Pope, Tommy Lynn Brooks, Phil Seymer, and Arlis McGehee.

Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Friday, November 28, 2025 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton and on Saturday from 8:30am-1:30pm at the funeral home in Morton.

Chapel service will be held 2pm Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Burial will be at Chennault Kersh Cemetery which is across from Good Hope Baptist Church .
