James Alton Monk, age 61 of Florence, passed away on August 31, 2022.
He was born on January 19, 1961, in Jackson, MS. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had a love for learning, going to the casino, any kind of crafts, crocheting, making jewelry, and painting. He loved to help others and loved his family.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Chandler of Florence; siblings, Terry Haven of Florence, Lynn (Gary) Bishop) of Flowood, and Frances Thornton of Louisiana; eight nieces, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
