James May

James A. May, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Brandon Court.  Visitation will be at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on July 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:30. On Saturday, visitation is 10:00 – 11:00 with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at 3pm on Saturday at Milligan Springs Church Cemetery in Stewart, MS.

James was born on March 20, 1935 in Montgomery County to the late Arnold and Inez Hudson May.  He was a graduate of Kilmichael High School and Draughn’s Business School. He worked as a tool and dye machinist for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Brandon and John Ashley’s Sunday School class.

James enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, water skiing and he was a private pilot.

James is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Sarah Landrum May; two daughters, Deborah Mitchell and Donna Lindsay (Tim); 4 grandchildren, Lindsi Boulette Bourgeois (Reid), Ashley Lindsay Googe (Josh), Jake Mitchell, and Abbey Lindsay.  He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Sarah James Bourgeois, Reid Michael Bourgeois and Asher Ray Mitchell.  James is survived by his sister, Sue Geotes; one nephew; three nieces and numerous cousins.
