James Michael Horn, formerly of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his home in Pearl, Mississippi, at the age of 76.
Mr. Horn was born the youngest of eleven children, on July 19, 1948, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to Albert Wade Horn and Ethel Estelle Cornelius Horn. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star for his service. He worked for Liberty National Life Insurance Company, beginning as an agent and working his way up to a district manager over his forty years of employment with the company. He was well respected as a businessman during his tenure. Mr. Horn was also a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Pulaski, where he served as a deacon. He had previously served as deacon at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, Mississippi, as well.
He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Faye Daly, and together they raised two daughters and lived in many different places throughout their marriage. He enjoyed travelling, checking “see all 50 states” off his and Connie’s bucket list. He also enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. He dearly loved his family, especially his beloved wife, Connie.
Mr. Horn is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ethel Horn, and his ten older siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Horn; daughters, Cindy Walley (Steve) and Lisa Casano (Marcus); grandchildren, Michael Blount (Katie), Kansas Mullen (Kevin), and Easton Casano; great grandchildren, Malakai “Kai” Blount and Emerson Mullen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life services for Mr. Horn will be announced and held at a later date in Pulaski.
