Mr. James Creel, age 66, a resident of Pulaski MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. A graveside Service was held on Thursday at Kalem Community Church Cemetery, under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Creel was born in Jackson, MS on May 28, 1956, to his parents, Rufus Creel, Sr., and Janell Amason Creel. He lived in the Morton area for many years. He was a self-employed mechanic and a faithful member of the Kalem Community Church. He was a hardworking, honest, and God-fearing man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Janice Marie Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Creel of Pulaski, and children; Carol Ann Pinter (Billy), James R. "Duke" Creel, Levi Creel (Lacey) Charles Schevelle, and Felicia Beatty (Brian). He also leaves behind 3 sisters: Sherry Gerrard (Kelby), Carol Runnels, and Wanda Talbert (Pellon), and a legacy of 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of friends.
