James Carter

Morton, MS

James Marvin Carter, age 99, and a current resident of Southaven, Destoto, County, Mississippi, passed away on December 13, 2020 at Life Point Village.

Mr. Carter was a native of Atlanta, Georgia and served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. Favorite past times were fishing, hunting and gardening. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Kaye Lindsey Carter (2015), his son: Myron Carter; his parents: Vivian and Annie Mae Davenfort Carter.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law: Patsy L. Carter; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
