Jacqueline Stewart Luckie, a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Brandon, Mississippi. She was born on December 5, 1942, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to James Howard Stewart and Mattie Blanche Stewart, both of whom have preceded her in death.
Jacqueline earned her bachelor's degree in business administration, a testament to her dedication and commitment to personal growth and education. As a retiree, she joined the International Mission Board and served full time in Tunisia. After returning home, she served several short-term mission trips. She was very determined to fulfill the calling that God placed on her life, so continued to actively minister to people locally after returning from her missions.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Bryant Haines (Melanie) and Tracy Haines (Molly), as well as her sister, Sylvia Williams, and brother, Jimmy Stewart. Jacqueline's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Lauren Haines, Samantha Haines, Lamare Haines, Ashley Meyerson, and Wesley Baker. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jaxon White, Mackenzie White, Cyra Baker, and Jeremy Radfar.
Jacqueline's family will host visitation and funeral services at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi. The visitation will take place on December 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. There will be a 1pm graveside to follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, MS. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
Jacqueline Stewart Luckie will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the endless joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.
