Jack Cook Wimberly Jr. of Madison, Mississippi passed away at the age of 56 on July 11, 2023. Cook, as he was known to his close friends and family, was born November 28, 1966. He grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and entered Oak Grove High School as a freshman. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1985. He earned a Bachelors Degree from University of Southern Mississippi. Cook worked in the electronic and computer development industry. Cook married his wife Lynette Johnson in 1991 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. From there, they moved to Madison, Mississippi to start a family. 

Cook enjoyed playing guitar with his band mates and close friends. He enjoyed cooking and learning new recipes. One of his biggest hobbies was learning about electronics, tinkering with computers, and building guitar effects. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and got to witness the easy going, humorous attitude Cook always brought with him. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jack Cook Wimberly Sr. and Mildred McCurley Wimberly. 

He is survived by his two children, Savannah Wimberly, and Jacob Wimberly. Brothers, Douglas Wimberly, Guy Wimberly (Wife, Ginger Wimberly), and Lynette Johnson Wimberly.
