Iva Lindsey

Iva M. Lindsey, age 95 of Brandon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Iva was born in Tutwiler, MS on July 8, 1926, to the late George P. Godsey, Sr. and Lola Mae Smith Godsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William L. Lindsey, Sr., and granddaughter, Gwendolyn E. Freeman.

She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Iva was a Homemaker who loved to cook and can vegetables for her family. She especially enjoyed it when her grandchildren came to visit her.

Iva is survived by her children, Dianne Lindsey Fuller (Bill), and Carolyn Lindsey Yelverton (Jim) all of Brandon, MS and William Leon Lindsey, Jr. (Hope) of Lawton, OK; cousin, Lydia Clark of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
