SERVICES: 10 AM THURSDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON
BURIAL: FLORAL HILLS MEMORY GARDENS
VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNESDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN BRANDON
Imogene L. (Jean) Holmes, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson after a lengthy battle with Leukemia. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Jean was born January 23, 1937 in Scott County, MS. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and was a retired deputy court clerk, U.S. District Court in Jackson, MS.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leroy Holmes; her mother, Elma Lewis; her children, Cynthia H. Horton (Donny), Debbie Atkinson and Steve Holmes (Rhonda); grandchildren, Courtney H. Graham (Ryan), Jared Atkinson (Brandi), Colby Horton, Allison Horton, Stevie Nicole Welch (Blake), Andrew Horton, Suzanne (Nikki) Holmes; and one great-grandchild, Alexis Atkinson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Lewis and her brothers, Murphy Lewis and Herschel Lewis.
