Houston Westerfield, beloved husband, father, son and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on April 20, 1943, in Morton, Mississippi, and was a life long resident of Morton.  Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Morton United Pentecostal Church and Friday, 12:00pm-1:45pm at the church.   Services will be held at 2pm Friday, March 8, 2024 at Morton United Pentecostal Church.  Bro. Barron Price and Bro. Nathan Morales will officiate the services.  There will be NO graveside service but burial will be in Hodge Hill Cemetery.  Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton is honored to serve the Westerfield Family.
 
Houston dedicated his life to serving his Lord and community. He worked as a maintenance worker and bus driver at Morton high school leaving a lasting impact on all those he met during his career. Houston's commitment to his profession was evident in his hard work and dedication.
 
Houston was a loving husband to his wife, Helen Westerfield, with whom he shared 58 years of happiness and love. They built a life together, filled with precious memories and unwavering support for one another.
 
Houston is survived by his beloved son, David Westerfield, who will always cherish the guidance and love his father provided. Houston's sisters, Janelle Anderson and Janet Ann Shoemaker, were also dear to his heart, and he valued the bond they shared. In addition, Houston leaves behind his cherished granddaughters, Breanna Nicole Westerfield and Lauren Grace Westerfield, who brought him immense amount of joy and pride; sister, Katie Jewel Shirley and brother, Nathan David Westerfield.
 
Houston Westerfield will always be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication, and love for his family. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.


Pallbearers will be Presley Burnside, Jason Latham, Lynn Torrence, Mark Torrence, Gabriel Burnside and James Josey.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the church and Greg Jenkins.
