Helen Fortenberry

Mrs. Helen Beatrice Fortenberry was born in Scott County on St. Patrick’s Day 1935 and passed away just five days shy of her 86th birthday at her residence in the early morning hours of March 12, 2021.

She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, was a retired inspector for USDA, and a member of the former Temple Baptist Church in Forest.

Preceded in death by her husband: William; two sons: Jerry Wayne and Rickey Earl; her parents: Seth and Agnes Lampkin, and several siblings, she is survived by one son: William Lee (Gail) Fortenberry; one sister: Trudie Bell Shoemaker; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
