Hazel Higgins

Hazel Mae Higgins, age, 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Jackson MS. Born on April 16, 1939, to John and Geneva Smith, in Raleigh MS, and was married to Paul Higgins for over 60 years.  They resided in the Everett community where they were blessed with 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, September 1,2022 at Everett Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday, September 2, 2022, at Everett Baptist Church, Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker, caregiver and was a faithful member of Everett Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church, her family and will be greatly missed by her community.

Preceded in death by her parents, John, and Geneva Smith, two brothers, and her husband of over 60 years, Paul Higgins.

Mrs. Higgins is survived by,4 children Judy Welch, Doug Higgins, Carolyn Kelly, Donna Gibson. 5 grandchildren Charles Welch (Cindy), Stephanie Williamson (Brice), Candice Welch, Kaleb Welch, Amber Westbrook (Adam). 15 great grandchildren; Colby Mullins, Cameron Welch, Carson Welch, Caden Welch, Cailey Welch, Breanna Williamson, Tristan Williamson, Keaton Williamson, Riley Welch, Kaylan Welch, Lauran Welch, Carey Welch, Andrew Martin, Aerin Westbrook, Samuel Westbrook,
