Harvey T. “H.T.” Comfort, 72, a resident of Morton died Friday, June 4, 2010 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services were held 2 pm Sunday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Ludlow Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday, June 05, 2010 at the funeral home. Rev. Tommy Miles and Rev. Earl Clark officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Comfort was a native of Scott Co. He was the son of Harvey and Thelma Comfort. Mr. Comfort was a truck driver for Talon Industries for many years he also worked for AMT Wholesale Co. along with his grandson, Tom Miles for several years prior to retiring. Mr. Comfort loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved racing. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. Comfort was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Thelma Comfort and his sister, Betty Nell Crumm.

Mr. Comfort is survived by his daughters, Sheena (Tommy) Miles of Morton and Sheri (Richard) Prestage of Morton; sisters, Mary Ruth Wall of Pearl and Ida Mae Chaffin of Richland; grandchildren, Tom (Mandy) Miles and Stacey Miles both of Morton, Stefanie Harper of Oxford, Justin Nutt, Holli Nutt and Chloe Prestage all of Morton; one great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Tom Miles, Justin Nutt, Richard Prestage, Roger Prestage, Cody Jackson and Howell Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Robinson, Danny Crumm and Jimmy Lane Cooper.
