Harvey H. Brewer Jr.

Harvey H. Brewer Jr., 76, passed away on Mon. April 28, 2025, in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. May 1, 2025, from 4pm-6pm at New Life Assembly of God located at 300 Shiloh Rd. Brandon, MS 39042. Funeral Services are 9am on Fri. May 2, 2025, at New Life Assembly of God. Burial will be held at 1:30pm Fri. May 2, 2025, at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Brewer was born in Jackson, MS on May 8, 1948, to the late Harvey Brewer Sr. and Lois McCrory Brewer. While leaving his wife and newborn daughter at home, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Brewer was a long-time member of New Life Assembly of God where he greeted every person that came into the church and faithfully served as a church board member for many years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to share his catch with other church members. Harvey was a loving and faithful husband to his wife of fifty-nine years, Eunice Alice Brewer. He was a proud father of three wonderful daughters. Mr. Brewer never met a stranger and was loved and appreciated by all.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Brewer; three children, Sherry Ellingson (Tom), Rhonda Smith (Kerry) and Paula Hazel (Billy); sister, Dorothey Thompson (Billy); four grandchildren, Haley Bass, Devin Bass (Hope), Christian Smith (Joey), Stephen Smith and seven great grandchildren, Chandler Sistrunk, Hanna Sistrunk, Noah Craine, Delilah Bass, Culley Smith, Gracie Smith and Audrie Smith. Mr. Brewer is also preceded in death by his son, Harvey Henry Brewer III and a grandchild, Aaron Smith.
