Guynelle Mcdaniel

Guynelle McDaniel, age 90, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Zion Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McDaniel was born August 8, 1932, in Polkville, MS to Ford Means and Sally Holbrook Means. She was married to John McDaniel. Mrs. McDaniel was a Registered Nurse and worked for University Medical Center in Jackson, MS over 30 years. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, fishing, and cooking. She loved to serve others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, John McDaniel; her parents, Ford Means and Sally Holbrook Means, and her brother, Bob Means.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter, Angela Kathryn Gaddis (Bill); son, Marcus Ralph Hutson (Sherrie); sister, Mary Kathryn Hagood; brother, Jimmy Paul Means (Betty); grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Melissa Stapleton (Matt), Julie Kowalczyk (Zach), and Andrew Gaddis; great grandchildren, Chelsea Stapleton, Rylee Stapleton, and Hutson Vanderford; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
