It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria "Jeannie" Stolk, known to many as a kind and caring Registered Nurse. Jeannie was born on March 11, 1950, in Birmingham, AL to her loving parents James Thomas Payne and Beatrice Neugent Payne.
Jeannie lived a life filled with love and compassion for her fellow man. After graduating from West End High School where she played the clarinet in the school band, she went on to receive her nursing degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Her long and dedicated career as a registered nurse spanned close to five decades.
Jeannie may no longer be with us in person but she will live forever on in the memories of all those whose lives she touched over the years. Our thoughts remain with those who loved her deeply including her beloved husband Thomas Stephen Stolk of Brandon, MS. They shared a deep bond that lasted throughout their marriage and beyond. Together, they raised a daughter, Angela Stolk who lives in Opelika, AL. She is also survived by Jamie Marbut (sister) of Flagstaff, AZ as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. We extend our deepest condolences to her surviving family and friends during this difficult time.
Friends and family are invited to attend Jeannie's visitation at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes-Brandon on July 15th at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm located at 1360 W Government St., Brandon, MS, 39042.
