Glenda May Pettigrew, age 83, of Forest, Mississippi, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton, Mississippi. Born September 1, 1942, in Leake County, Mississippi, to Littleton and Willie Maude Weems, Glenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her faith and a deep love for her family. Glenda was a faithful member of Clifton Baptist Church. She worked as a clerk for McCarty Farms, later known as Tyson Foods, for approximately ten years.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Gary Pettigrew, of Forest, Mississippi; her daughter, Lachelle Kroll (Ron) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; her stepsons, Johnny Pettigrew and Danny Pettigrew (Kathy Jo), of Forest, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Littleton Weems and Willie Maude Weems; her daughter, Melanie Nowell; her sisters, Marilyn Dubre and Melba Beckham; and her grandson, Blair Rich.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Mississippi. Saturday, January 17, 2026, a brief visitation will be held from 11 until 11:50 a.m. prior to funeral services beginning at 12 noon in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Bro. Tal Vardaman and Bro. Kenny Lang. Interment will follow at the Harperville Cemetery, with Bro. Charlie McNeil officiating.

Pallbearers will be Von Hamm, Josh Lees, Neil Pettigrew, Dillon Pettigrew, Trent Windham, Lath Harrell, Zach Gardner, and Andy Gardner. Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Stegall, Larry Harrell, and Jack Gordon.
