Gladys Annette Mapp, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2025, at the age of 90.
Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am in the chapel. The graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm in McLaurin Cemetery in McLaurin, Mississippi.
Mrs. Mapp was born on November 5, 1934, in Copiah County, Mississippi, to Chancey Boutwell and Allie Mahaffey Boutwell. She married Nolan Ray Mapp on July 20, 1954, and together they had three children. She was a member of Walker Hill Baptist Church, which she loved, and was an accomplished missionary, travelling to places like Washington and Honduras to help build churches. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible, and she was an excellent caretaker to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nolan Mapp; and brother, Glen Boutwell.
Survivors include her children, Hope Delorse Roby (Mike), Keith Ray Mapp, and Harry LaVaughn Mapp; grandchildren, Josh Mapp (Jenny), Nicholas Mapp, Greg Dearing (Dani), and Anita Jeffress (Curt); great grandchildren, Donivan Payne, Fischer Mapp, Kingsley Mapp, Easton Mapp, Jase Mapp, Isaac Dearing, Gunner Jeffress, and Zoe Jeffress; great grandchild, Kolesen Cooper Payne; siblings, Peggy Hembree and Harry Boutwell (Faye); sister-in-law, Claira Boutwell; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
