General Bobbitt Jr., known to many as Bobby, entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2022, at the age of 89.
He was born January 22, 1933, to the late General & Emma Mae Bobbitt. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age. Married to his childhood sweetheart Mable Stowers and from this union a son, Mickael Christopher Bobbitt was born. They both preceded him in death.
General was the 3rd born of 12 children, 9 boys, and 3 girls. He is survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Mae Francis Hughes, Christine Tucker, James Larry Bobbitt, Richard Earl Bobbitt, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents General and Emma Bobbitt, 1 sister Alma Jean Nelson, and 6 brothers Willie Perry Bobbitt, Landy Cornelius Bobbitt, Henry Lee Bobbitt, Edward Bobbitt, Roy Linn Bobbitt, and Eugene Bobbitt.
General served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Owens Illinois of Toledo, OH for 40 years before retiring.
Family and friends in the Toledo area are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, between 7pm and 9pm at The House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, OH 43607.
General will be returned to his birthplace, the state of Mississippi, where he’ll be laid to rest in peace, rejoining Mable and Mickael. Second visitation on June 3, 2022, between 5pm and 8pm at OTT & LEE Funeral Home, 295 E 1st St, Forest, MS 39074.
