Gayle Allen Ragland

Gayle Allen Ragland, 64, of Brandon, MS went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025.

Mrs. Allen was born on November 3, 1960, in Jackson, MS, to parents Frances Mann and Lethel Glynn Mann, and thereafter adopted by James Baird. Gayle attended Provine High school and Hinds Technical college. She married Phillip Dennis Allen, the father of her two children, and later in life married Jesse Ragland. Her Career was with MDOT as a Drafting engineer.

Gayle was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist, Cornerstone, and Pinelake church. She sung in a choir for The Billy Graham crusade at First Baptist of Jackson. She really enjoyed singing as a hobby and was very gifted as an artist. She loved to travel, especially to the mountains. She was able to experience several places in the mountains like Niagara Falls and The Smokey Mountains.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her mother Frances Baird, stepfather James Baird, father Lethel Mann, grandmother Minnie Thomas, grandfather Ben Thomas, aunt Priscilla Thomas, uncle Pat Thomas, and aunt Ginger Thomas.

She is survived by daughter Amber Allen, son Daniel Allen, daughter in-law Brittany Allen, grandchildren Lexi Allen, Nolan and Landon Hunter, husband Jesse Ragland, and brother Joe Gregg,

A special thank you to those who cared for Gayle in her time of need, the medical team who went above and beyond, and Evelyn who was a caregiver and friend.

A funeral service will be held at The Venue at Pinelake Church on June 20th, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and the service at 11:00 am. Graveside service will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
