Gary Leigh Wilson

Gary Leigh Wilson passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 78 in Brandon, MS. He was born on October 5, 1945, in Memphis, TN to Robert Lamar Wilson and Louise Kristyne Williams Wilson Glasscock. He grew up in Tucson, AZ, and later moved to Greenwood, MS, where he spent most of his adult life. He moved to Brandon in the last couple of years. Gary was a loving husband to Nell R. Haley Wilson for over 50 years. He leaves behind one brother, Garth Lamar Wilson and wife, Sandra Wilson, along with many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Haley family and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary worked in the uniform industry for over 30 years. He loved his customers. He loved to talk, never meeting a stranger. His hobbies were fishing (with his favorite fishing buddy, Jim Bob), coin collecting, and reading. 

A visitation will be held in Gary’s honor on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A funeral service will take place at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Gary will be deeply missed. His memory will live on through all those who knew him and loved him. May we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him and find strength in each other as we mourn his loss.
