Gary Lynn Bean, 69, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on June 8, 2025, following a short illness. He was cremated as per his wishes. He did not wish to have a service due to illness in his family and family and friends scattered in other states.

Gary was born in Warren, Ohio on August 28, 1955. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Later he enjoyed playing golf, going to OSU games, and loved organizing and participating in NFL football drafts. Gary graduated from Champion High School in 1973; he graduated from Ohio State University in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a lifelong alumni member of OSU.

Gary had worked in positions in management of loss prevention, internal audit in department stores in Youngstown, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri. He moved his family to Brandon, MS to take a position for McRae's Department Stores (family owned) in 1991. He became a corporate VP for Saks Fifth Avenue when McRae's sold their department stores to Saks. He turned down relocating for Saks and worked as Director of Internal Audit at C-Spire for ten years until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert Leland Bean, mother Marguerite Arlene Blackshere Bean, brother, Dennis K. Bean, brother-in-law Dr. Garry L Stear, all of Ohio. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn M Stear of Ohio, niece Melissa (Doug) Gorsline and great-nieces Maddie and Katie Gorsline of Virginia, nephew Jason (Lisa) Stear and great-nephews Jackson and Ben Stear of Virginia, niece Heather Patterson and great-nephew Ethan Wells and great-niece Kyleigh Wells of Ohio. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Sherrie, and daughter, Lindsay Bean.

Gary was kind, thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. He leaves a void that can never be filled and will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
