Frankie "Pop" Roncali

Frankie E. “Pop” Roncali, age 81, a resident of Newton County died Thursday, November 17, 2022, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30am Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment following in the Pine Ridge Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Edwards will officiate.  Visitation will be held before the service beginning at 9am.

Mr. Roncali was born in Indianola, MS  to his parents Frank Roncali and Lillie Bell Whitehead Roncali on December 21, 1940.  He was a Baptist.  He worked in the poultry industry for McCarty Farms for many years.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with family.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters; Sandra Alexander, and Shelia Diane Taylor.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Allen Roncali, of Newton, children, Jessica Frosch (David) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and also Jessica Roncali of Newton, a son-in-law, Jerry Taylor, a legacy of 6 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jerry Taylor, Zachary Langford, Robert Taylor, Jeremiah Norman, Joshua Campbell, and Kaiden Ricks.  The honorary pallbearer is Hailey Taylor.
