Florence Chambers

Florence “Flo” Chambers, age 87, and a resident of Forest died peacefully Friday, April 1, 2022, following an extended illness.

Visitation will be held from 5pm till  7 pm Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with funeral services at 11am Monday, April 4, 2022, also at OTT & LEE.  A Mass will also be held at 5:30pm Monday, April 4th  at St. Michael Catholic Church in Forest.  A graveside service will be held at 10am Tuesday at Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Chambers, known by many as “Flo” was born on March 30, 1935, in Redwing, CO to her parents Felix Rivera and Josefita Gallegos Rivera.  Through the years she worked as an office manager, worked in the public school system, and as an administrator.  More recently,  for many years, she worked as the administrator for St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  She loved people and helping those in need in any way she could. She was active in Trinity Mission work.  She loved her Lord, her family, her church, and her friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Chambers.

Survivors include her 4 children, Mark Anthony Chambers of Cathedral City, CA.  Eva Renee’Chambers-McLemore of Pearl, MS. Paula Felice Chambers of Clarkston GA  and Mona Denise Chambers of Forest, MS.  Other survivors include her 3 sisters; Ophelia Kristjansson, Mary Ellen Rivera, and Vicki Carlucci, and 1 grandson; Justin Allen Chambers.  She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers are Justin Chambers, John Reiss, Brett Hollingsworth, Al Bergin, Carlos Texoco, and Ezequiel Alvarez.
