Estelle Hasty Jones, 89, passed away on August 4, 2010, at home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 5, beginning at 5 until 7 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, and starting 10 am, prior to the service at 11 am Friday, August 6, in the chapel of the funeral home with interment to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Estelle was born April 3, 1921 in Rankin County and was a life-long resident of Brandon. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon. Her husband of 50 years, Taylor Jones, her son, Sammy, and her sister, Evelyn Couch, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Si and Trudy Jones of Arlington, TX and her son, Mike of Brandon; she also leaves behind 2 granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Taylor, Austin and Jackson Pittman of Palm Harbor, FL and Andrea, Eveleigh and Quinn Jennings of Wimberley, TX; and niece and nephew, Sharon Couch of Brandon and John Arthur Couch of Jackson.
Services are 11 am Friday in the Chapel of the funeral home in Brandon.
