Elna Inez Till

Elna Inez Till, age 90, entered into heaven on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.  Visitation is 5-7 pm Friday, January 17, 2020 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 10 am Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 am in the church with burial in the church cemetery.

Inez was born on October 30, 1929 and grew up in the Crossroads Community where she attended school and was a star basketball player. She was married to the love of her life for 72 years. She and her husband, R.L. Till, returned to the Antioch Community in 1969 and were members of Antioch Baptist Church. Inez  had a love for being in her garden and flower beds and her hard work was a blessing to many as she would share her beautiful flowers with others. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, R. L. Till of Pelahatchie; son, Ronny Till (Carolyn) of Olive Branch; daughters, Karen Till Deer (Henry) of Brandon, Kathryn Till Haney (Jim) of Pearl and Sherry Till Alford (John) of Brandon;  sister, Belva Lishman and brother Richard “ Sonny” Gray; grandchildren, Brian Till, Jonathan Summerlin, Tony Summerlin, Phil Hutchins, Kara Harmond and Chase Till. She is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents C. E. and Elna Gray; sisters Juanita “Sweet” Stingley and Bobbie Garner; brothers Lamar, Vernon, and Norris Gray, and son Tracy Riddell Till.
