Edward Paul Medina, born on March 5, 1943, in Alamosa, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was a devoted family man, a proud Vietnam Veteran, and had a long, dedicated career as an electrical engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Paul proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War for over eight years. Following his military service, he devoted more than 30 years to his career as an electrical engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, retiring after many years of contribution and hard work.
He is survived by his loving children: John Paul Medina and his wife Marlene, Gary Medina and his wife Misty, and Kelly Medina Cameron and her husband Mo. Paul was a cherished grandfather to Robby Feyh, Kimberly Jenkins, Brady Medina, Baylen Medina, Madison Smith, Marendy Stoelzley, Benjamin Medina, Beraiah Medina, Brashton Medina, Maylee Medina, Taylor Cameron and Mollie Odom. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren that meant the world to him. He is remembered fondly by his brothers David Medina, Phil Medina, Alex Medina, Jimmy Medina, and Danny Medina, as well as his sister Rita Medina.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Ephriam Medina and Salome Chavez Medina; his sister Olivia Montoya; sister Agnes Duran; brother Joe Medina; and sister Jane Shelton.
A visitation to honor Paul’s memory will be held on April 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, located at 1360 W Government Street. The funeral service will follow immediately afterward, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Edward Paul Medina will be remembered for his service to his country, his commitment to his work, and most importantly, his love for his family. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him.
