Steven Douglas Holder “Coach Holder”, 72, a resident of Brandon, MS, died Feb. 21, 2023 at St. Dominic’s Hospital. Visitation will be held Thurs. Feb. 23, 2023 from 5-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and Fri. Feb. 24, 2023 from 10-11am at The Pointe Church in Brandon. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 at 11am at The Pointe Church in Brandon. Graveside services will be held at Crestview Memorial Gardens located next door to The Pointe Church. Pastor Todd Sanders will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Coach Holder was a native of Richland, MS. He was the son of Charles Ray Holder and Margaret Berry Holder. He was married to Robin Hubbard Holder. Coach Holder was a witty, lovingly sarcastic, golf-playing, football-loving, well-respected teacher and coach for 30 years, touching many lives along the way. He lived his life loving and serving others the way he knew would be pleasing to the Lord. Helping and leading people to the Lord brought him immense happiness. He had a deep love for the Lord and his family and leaves behind an undeniable legacy. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Coach Holder was preceded in death by: parents, Charles Ray Holder and Margaret Berry Holder, and brother-in-law Bobby W. Reeves.

Coach Holder is survived by his wife of 41 years, Robin Hubbard Holder; sister, Frances Reeves, children: Corey (Michelle) Holder, Mandi Holder, Adam (Nicole) Holder, Aaron Holder, and grandchildren: Nehemiah Holder, Gabriel Holder, Malachi Holder, Jaxen Bowman Holder, Lily Holder, Noah Holder, Jayliniah Holder, Adalia Holder; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
