Dorothy G. Vandevender, 85, passed away Sun. July 27, 2014 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. July 29, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm. Wed. July 30, 2014 at the funeral home with burial in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mrs. Vandevender was born in Kosciusko, MS and lived most of her life in Pearl, MS. She was a member of Jesus Name Church in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Vandevender is survived by her daughter, Patricia Lynch (Allen) of Pearl, MS; sister, JoAnn Ray (Tom) of Tuttle, OK; brother, James Earl Goss (Joan) of Goshen Springs, MS; three grandchildren, Michelle Owens, Kimberly Aikens, Chris VanZant, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Vandevender; son, James David Vandevender; two sisters and her parents.
